The Kickstarter campaign for The Black Glove has officially been revealed by Day For Night Games, and independent studio comprised of former Irrational Games folks who helped make BioShock and BioShock Infinite.
As IGN mentioned when the game was revealed back in June, The Black Glove is a narrative-driven, first-person adventure game which draws inspiration from The Stanley Parable and Gone Home, the latter of which was also developed by a team of former BioShock developers. The Black Glove takes place in the Equinox Theater, vaudevillian venue that seems to exist outside the confines of space and time.

Explore and reshape artists' lives to improve their work. | Ken Levine says my work is under attack' after Bioshock Infinite's Elizabeth called a 'naive woman'

MMGN writes: Video game critic Anita Sarkeesian has initiated a powerful discussion about the role of female characters in games. While her "Tropes vs. Women" video series has prompted an aggressive and in some cases illegal backlash to her criticisms of gamers, she has led a compelling discourse, opening the doors to countless critiques of the sexualisation and victimisation of women in games.
One such critique, however, has hit the wrong note for Bioshock creator and Irrational Games founder, Ken Levine.
Levine takes offence to one such example in the article referring to Bioshock Infinite's iconic female heroine, Elizabeth.

GameKoop's Jack Ryan writes, "News of developer Irrational Games essentially closing its doors, and the dismissal of all but 15 of its employees who will continue to develop games under a new name, is no longer gracing the front page of gaming news sites. However, the impact and what it all means moving forward are still very much settling in for me. As the company announced its massive consolidation in what seems to be a shift into the booming indie market, I sat teary eyed at my computer on a sunny afternoon. This is because Bioshock, the developers most acclaimed creation, is no ordinary franchise, and I am no ordinary fan of it."
